A
team from Emmanuel Cathedral, Arua, Uganda accepted an invitation
from Rev Jeff Porter, on behalf of Fernhill Heath Baptist Church. They
visited us for just over 2 weeks in July 2013.
The team consisted of Bishop Joel Obetia, Florence Abuko, Rev
Canon Solomon Adebo, John Alipa, Rev Collins Andaku, Jacob Angualuga
and Shem Ovua.
The team arrive in the UK ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On the first Sunday they attend Services at Fernhill Heath ![]() ![]() ![]()
On Monday, the team visited Droitwich Baptist Church, and a BBQ in Fernhill Heath in the evening ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
The next day was a visit to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Droitwich, followed by a concert at the Salvation Army in Dudley. In the evening they led a Bible Study ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On Tuesday the team visited the International Mission Centre (IMC) and Heart of England Baptist Association (HEBA) in Birmingham ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They went on a tour of Worcester University, The Hive and Worcester Cathedral. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() In the evening the men attended Grumpy Mens Club (GMC), and Jacob was a guest at the Boys Brigade in Droitwich. ![]() ![]() ![]()
Hindlip First School hosted the team on the Friday morning. ![]() ![]() ![]() A Barn Dance was held in the evening ![]() ![]() ![]() On Saturday, an afternoon of games and then a picnic was enjoyed by all at Upper Sapey ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The team were welcomed at Worcester Cathedral for their Sunday Morning Service, and then in the evening we all enjoyed Cheryl's Baptismal Service at Fernhill Heath. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On the Monday morning, Grimley and Holt School hosted the team.
![]() ![]() In the evening the team led us in a very enjoyable African Evening ![]() ![]() The next day was a visit to a Nursery, then onto Bewdley Baptist Church and lunch in the Wyre Forest. ![]() ![]() ![]() Some
of the team visited F.OA.G offices in Powick, Florence was a guest of
Wednesday Morning Ladies (WML), and in the evening the team led a Bible
Study

Mayor of Worcester kindly received the team, and provided a guided tour
of the Guildhall. Followed by a shopping experience, and tour of
some of the historic buildings in Worcester ![]() ![]() ![]() In the evening we held a skittles evening ![]() ![]() Friday was left for the team to 'chill out' and they did many different things. ![]() In the evening we joined together in a Garden Fellowship evening. ![]() ![]() ![]()
On Saturday we had a day at Warwick Castle
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Special farewell Services were held on the final Sunday of their visit.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They depart and begin their journey back to Arua, Uganda. ![]() ![]() Home
